Before online matchmaking, battle passes and endless updates, multiplayer gaming meant dragging your PC to a mate's house, connecting a few network cables and spending an entire weekend battling it out in the same room.
This is my personal collection of LAN party favourites, from legendary first-person shooters and classic strategy games to cooperative adventures and a few forgotten gems. Some are absolute essentials, others are hidden treasures that deserve another outing, but all have earned their place on the list.
Whether you're planning your next LAN party, reliving the glory days or discovering these classics for the first time, there's plenty here to keep everyone entertained, competitive and occasionally questioning their friendships.
Grab your mates, fire up the network and prepare for some good old-fashioned multiplayer chaos!
